NLXL Scrapwood Wallpaper by Piet Hein Eek 05
NLXL Scrapwood PHE-05 Wallpaper
Designed by Piet Hein Eek in 2011, the NLXL Scrapwood Wallpaper 05 has its origins in the furniture he made using scrapwood in the 1990s. Originally driven by principles associated with recycling, he soon realised that old wood looked more attractive and characterful than mass-produced, drearily identical products.
With an undeniably industrial edge, this designer wallpaper is of such high quality most people are fooled into thinking it’s for real. The PHE-05 Scrapwood wallpaper is just one of eight different Scrapwood styles and has featured in journals as different as The New York Times and Country Living. It won an ICFF Award in 2011 and it is on permanent display at the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Museum.
Each roll of this non-woven FSC-certified wallpaper is 9 metres long and 48.7 cm wide, giving a total coverage of 4.4 square metres. There is no repeat in this wallpaper – meaning no matching, less expensive waste and no two walls are exactly the same.
NLXL was set up in 2010 by Rick Vintage to market the Scrapwood collection. Already enjoying iconic status, these top quality wallpapers adorn many famous walls – including celebrity homes and television studios.
Ideal for entire rooms or as a feature wall.
