The Industrial Large Tap Light from Tony Miles Design is a unique free-standing floor light made from hand bent, cut and threaded 20 mm thick industrial steel tubing. You can see it from the comfort of your living room on Big Brother 2013. Featuring polished brass fittings and an old-style handmade filament light bulb, it truly is industrial-inspired. It is also strong and functional – a simple, contemporary design that looks fabulous with any style of décor.
Tony Miles was an electrician for many years before opening his workshop in East London in 2011. His lights and furniture are all handmade from industrial steel tubing and industrial connection boxes. Consequently, each and every one of his products is an individual, featuring unique blemishes and slight variations in size. Among many other projects, Tony has had his designs featured in The Tea Buildings in Shoreditch, the London Newcastle office block and bar and Shepperton Film Studios.
