The first recognition of his immense talent was in 1980 when he was awarded first prize in Tokyo’s Residential Design Competition. Since then he has garnered many awards including the coveted Compasso d’ora in both 1996 and 1998. He has several permanent exhibits in the Centre Georges Pompidou and is a Professor at Milan’s Domus Academy.
