Ronan and Erwan Bourroullec, the Breton born brothers, are the most exciting industrial designers to emerge from France since Philippe Starck. Like punk maverick Ron Arad before them they are gifted with an extraordinary ability to reinvent traditional types of furniture. Born in 1971 and 1976 respectively, they were educated at the Ecole National Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Romantisicm and functionality are key-notes of their work, and they have already developed a distinctive signature visual style.
The talented duo are rising stars in the design world and their gentle intelligence and stylistic flair has made them the darlings of the younger generation.
