In terms of practicality there is no lunch box like it, you can say goodbye to boring sandwiches day in and day out. Its been a busy few months for the buying team after visiting half a dozen trade shows all around the world in January and February. New stock is beginning to pour in (no pun intended) to the Design 55 HQ thick and fast. We have just uploaded some new products to the site and a new brand called Stelton which im sure will be very popular, these danish maestros are famous for their Vacuum jugs which are available in a range of 8 bright colour ways. These jugs are genius invention they keep your cold water cold, we think it may be abit too wintery for this kind of malarky unless your an Eskimo, but summer is only around the corner we hope. What we like about these versatile jugs is that it also keeps your hot drinks hot too so you get the best of both world all year round.

We have just taken stock of some cool phones made by a new Swiss design brand called Punkt. The Punkt DP 01 phone is designed by British designer Jasper Morrison who had a great idea of turning a standard old cordless phone upside down in its cradle for easier use. The phone is available in a selection of colours black, white and red.
New Eva Denmark stock has landed in our store and added tp the site this week. Another great brand featuring premium kitchenware and homewares. Theres plenty to look at but the highlights include the knife block stand as pictured above and the range of garden bird feeders.
This week we have added more of the ever growing Alessi range – the Alessi Boston Shaker Set. Designed by Etorre Sottsass, this classic bar set is based on a design found on transatlantic ships in the 1900′s. The Alessi Boston Shaker Set is still very popular and can be found in bars all over the world. The Shaker Set comes with: boston cocktail shaker, bar Strainer, cocktail measure and a stirrer. The shaker is made up of two parts – an 18/10 stainless steel large tumbler and a crystal glass tumbler. A must have for all Alessi fans! Also this week, look at the Alessi Foix Round Tray.

Brand new for 2010 and designed by Frederic Gooris, the purse hook is simple to use – just put it onto a table or bar and hang your bag on the tail. This week we have added a new product by Black and Blum – the Box Appetit (pictured above). New for 2010, this lunchbox will sort out all your lunchtime needs.The box contains a sauce pot, an inner dish and a fork/knife. The inner dish allows you to seperate your food – so you can microwave one thing but keep the other food cold. The box also has a full watertight seal.
