Alessi Melodic Kettle by Richard Sapper
This was the first ever kettle to be produced by Alessi who are know famous for there unusual designer kettles. Designed by Richard Sapper, he wanted to design a kettle that when it reaches boiling point it does not make a nasty and tedious screeching noise. The Melodic 9091 kettle features a unique brass whistle with 2 pipes that each plays a different note which gives the kettle a harmonic sound.
The architect Richard Sapper is considered to be one of the greatest designers of the mid to late 20th century winning an astonishing 10 Compasso D'oro design prizes. This is considered to be one of his finest products.
It is made from mirror polished stainless steel with the handle in plastic, The kettle has a heat diffusing base that is suitable for both gas and induction hobs.
